A great day at the circus in Cabarete
Last night Kaicetos circus and The Kite lounge bar put on a show and barbque for guest and friends. The students of the circus school gave a demonstration of their skills, for all to see. It was fantastic to see the keen young circus performers put on their costumes and put on the show. After the flying trapeze deomonstration, the show moved to the ramp where the fun continues as the circus school students put on another demonstration of all their skills under the ramp. The fun was followed by a big barbque and bondfire on the beach. Everyone was so excited after such a great show, that they had worked up an appetitite that was satisfited by our in house chef Luis. As the night went on, the circus school came out with another demonstration – fireballs, juggling fire and lots more excitement There is nothing else like this in Cabarete, as the attendance from all the children will show. So much fun and we are all very proud of the circus school students and thank them for their efforts in making for a great evening. Also a big thanks to the Kite Lounge restaurant for putting on the bonfire and a fantastic meal. Watch for the next big show, next month, as the students demonstrate harder skills that are sure to woo you!
A Circus Retreat at eXtreme Hotel, Cabarete
On April 25, 2010, nine ladies checked into eXtreme Hotel to enjoy a week in paradise and to learn new and improve upon various circus skills. Leading the retreat were two extremely talented women who were here to guide the ladies through various activities and lessons using various circus paraphernalia. The retreat was in part hosted by Kaiceitos Circus who operate a circus school on site at eXtreme Hotel. At the end of the week an exhibition was put on in the evening, demonstrating skills from the professionals at the retreat, Kaiceitos Circus and some routines from their students. It was a fantastic display in full costume and filled with awe, demonstrating strength, skill and beauty by the participants. Some of the acts included static trapeze, spanish web, lyra (hoop), silk, juggling and acrobatics. The final act of the evening incorporated dancing, hoop and fire. It was a great way to end the show. Kaiceitos Circus intends to host more demonstrations throughout the year and will continue it’s circus lessons at eXteme Hotel daily. You too can learn how to use circus paraphernalia like a pro. This fall the circus retreat will be returning to eXtreme Hotel for more seminars and another amazing exhibition. Stay tuned for more!
