After a lot of late season rain, the sun came out today and graced us with her presence. People here on a kiteboarding holiday were happy to have what they all wanted – a hot sunny day with perfect kiteboarding vacation conditions.
The wind came on early out of the north east, and the kite school was busy giving lesson. The buss of activity on kite beach is a welcome return from the rainy days of the past few weeks.
We have a few new couples to join us, new kitesurfers from Ottawa, a solo backpacker from Montreal and another couple from Banff, making for another Canadian invasion here at eXtreme Cabarete. It would seem that we have become the choice destination for kitesurfers looking for an ideal vacation from the cold Canadian winter.
The restaurant is also a buzz, as everyone not on kite beach make their way down here. A couple events are in the making, including the live music at the bar and a celebration party for Juan Marco, who recently won the kitesurfing world tour. We are throwing a party to celebrate his success and his ability to overcome the odds and make it to the top – well done Juan Marco!
