Jui Jitsui de las costa is pleased to announce the first Jui Jitsu competition on the north cost of the Dominican Republic. It is being hailed as the King of the Coast, and we will be looking for our new Ji Jitsu king here in the ramp at eXtreme Cabarete.  With all our home favouirtes training every day, and all the other schools from all over the Dominican Republic coming to compete, this one is going to be big. Everyone is excited for a fantastic event.  There are parties, shows, and lots of jui jitsu action planned for the event.  We may even get to see Thomas ‘Papo” stone come out and strut his stuff, as we see who will be crowned king of the coast. All are welcome to come and enjoy what is sure to be an exciting event!

A great day at the circus in Cabarete

Last night Kaicetos circus and The Kite lounge bar put on a show and barbque for guest and friends.   The students of the circus school gave a demonstration of their skills, for all to see.  It was fantastic to see the keen young circus performers put on their costumes and put on the show.   After the flying trapeze deomonstration, the show moved to the ramp where the fun continues as the circus school students put on another demonstration of all their skills under the ramp.   The fun was followed by a big barbque and bondfire on the beach.  Everyone was so excited after such a great show, that they had worked up an appetitite that was satisfited by our in house chef Luis.   As the night went on, the circus school came out with another demonstration – fireballs, juggling fire and lots more excitement   There is nothing else like this in Cabarete, as the attendance from all the children will show.  So much fun and we are all very proud of the circus school students and thank them for their efforts in making for a great evening.   Also a big thanks to the Kite Lounge restaurant for putting on the bonfire and a fantastic meal.   Watch for the next big show, next month, as the students demonstrate harder skills that are sure to woo you!

The endless summer on Kite Beach Cabarete

Summer officially ended, but for us here on kite beach Cabarete it contiues indefinitely.   The warm weather that is still here means that we still have great thermal wind conditions, for the kiteboarding never stops.  The last week has been fantastic kitesurfing, with almost no one on kite beach in what is know to locals as the secret month of wind.   This week we are pleased to welcome some guests from Germany and Wisconsin, and our usual stream of Canadians, and we one of a few kiteboarding schools still operating this week.  It’s a cool feeling to have world famous kite beach to ourselves, so we can kiteboard and enjoy the waves without any traffic to speak of.   With all the activities at the hotel, there are always people around doing things, so the active fun vibe continues.  The circus school has increased it’s Cabarete Kids class, and now boasts twenty plus kids for a fun couple hours of trapeze and other circus arts.  The gym continues with yoga and spinning, Ju jitsu continues with it’s daily classes – here at eXtreme Cabarete the fun never stops.   For anyone not sure if September is not a good time to visit the Dominican Republic, think again.  It’s one of the BEST times to come, relax and have some active fun in the sun!   Upcoming events include a circus arts demonstration dinner, which will be a great Cabarete party.  We also are working with the North Coast Ju Jitsu group to organize an amateur fight here in the ramp.  The gym starts to resume it’s fall schedule, as the snow birds from Canada and the US fly back home to Cabaerte for the fall and winter.  The kitesurfing school will start to prepare some road trips to seak out some fantastic new kiteboarding destinations.  Always lots of things going on here at eXtreme Cabarete
