Another busy week at eXtreme Hotel

Wow, this week has been jam-packed with activities!  On wednesday night, eXtreme hotel hosted a traditional Dominican Pig Roast on the beach at the Kite Lounge.  After another full afternoon of kiteboaarding, the kiteboarders were looking for some good food and drinks.  The other guests of the hotel and some other kiteboard vacation-ers from other hotels along kite beach all came out for some roast pig, turkey and chicken.  There was also beer and side dishes, followed by cake.  What a gread spread!

Thursday was not as windy as we would have liked but presented the perfect opportunity to seek out other non wind activity adventures in the Puerta Plata area.  A group of guests here on a kiteboarding vacation took the chance to head out on the 27 Waterfalls Ecotour, where we had an amazing time jumping off or sliding down 27 waterfalls.  Don’t forget to bring watershoes or sandles.

Friday saw another great day of kitesurfing and another great dinner, hosted by the Funky Carp located right on kite beach at the eXtreme Hotel.  With live music and anther great spread of BBQ chicken and ribs, with several different salads and sides including rice, pasta salad and delicious potato salad, followed by homemade rum cake.  Sangrias were served all through dinner.

opportunity to soak up some rays and get their daily dose of vitamin D.  Early in the morning, fresh organic produce was taken from eXtreme hotel’s organic farm to the local market in Cabarete, where it can be purchased fresh, tasty and wholesome.  All are welcome.  The market is located in the east end of Cabarete, just past the Texaco gas station.  Market hours are 10am-3pm and the vendors vary from week to week including , fresh produce, clothing, homemade cakes, jewelery and crafts among many other things.

There is never a dull day here at kite beach, even if the wind isn’t blowing.  Cabarete is a great vacation destination, even if you are not into kiteboarding, with so many other things to see and do.
