Another all-day session at kitebeach, Cabarete.

Kiteboarding at Kitebeach, Cabarete
Whoo hoo! Another great day of kiteboarding here on kitebeach in Cabarete! It was a beautiful, sunny day with a cloudless blue sky. The wind started to build early in the morning and kites were out on the water by 10am. The inside of the reef had very little chop and kiteboarderss were enjoying the flat water conditions of their morning session. 12m and 13m were the sizes of choice for the early part of the day. The wind continued to build throughout the day and the afternoon kite sessions included kitesurfing on 7-9m kites. The surf was up, with waves about head height. World kitesurfing champion Juan Marco was out kitesurfing in front of eXtreme Hotel ripping it up on the reef on his surfboard, showing us why he’s the champion! After strutting his stuff, Juan headed towards Encuentro on a downwinder. Many of Cabarete’s top kiteboarders were out killing it, taking full advantage of perfect kitesurfing conditions. Riders stayed out until dark, enjoying themselves until it was too dark to see anymore.
Early in the morning, several guests of eXtreme Hotel arose early and headed to Encuentro for some surfing before heading back to kitebeach to catch some wind. While surfing, the migrating humpback whales were seen playing nearby in the ocean.
Wow! What an amazing day. This is why Cabarete is such an incredible place to spend your kiteboarding vacation at.
